Authentic Teacher Training Certifications

Dive into the complete history, science, and practical foundations of cold therapy. Explore ancient practices from Yogic Tapas to Tibetan Tummo, understanding how cold exposure has been used for spiritual transformation across millennia. Master the modern neuroscience—the cold shock response, nervous system dynamics, stress adaptation windows, and how cold exposure creates measurable changes in brain chemistry, immune function, and metabolic health. Learn when and why cold therapy works (and when it doesn't), including benefits for anxiety, depression, trauma, and inflammation, plus critical contraindications and medical screening requirements. Complete this module with practical knowledge of ice plunge setup options, temperature guidelines, equipment essentials, and creating safe, intentional spaces for facilitation. This module establishes the scientific credibility and ancient wisdom that grounds all Chanshi practice.

MODULE 1: Foundations of Cold Therapy - Understanding the Ice

Master the life-saving skills that separate professional facilitators from dangerous amateurs. Learn comprehensive medical screening protocols, absolute and relative contraindications, and when to require medical clearance or refer clients out. Develop emergency response expertise for hypothermia, cardiac events, panic attacks, and seizures, including proper rewarming protocols and when to call emergency services. Deepen your understanding of trauma-informed facilitation—recognizing freeze responses, reading verbal and non-verbal cues, creating genuine consent versus compliance, and holding boundaries with compassion. This module ensures you can keep clients physically and psychologically safe while navigating the complex ethical terrain of facilitating vulnerable, transformative experiences. Your ability to say "no" or "not yet" becomes as important as your ability to guide someone through cold water.

CTFC Module 2 Lesson 1 PART A - Medical Screening Contraindications

CTFC Module 2 Lesson 1 PART B - Medical Screening Contraindications

CTFC Module 2 Lesson 2 - Emergency Protocols Risk Management

MODULE 2: Safety, Risk & Ethical Facilitation - Holding Safe Space

Understand the critical role of breathwork in safe, transformational cold therapy. Begin with a deep analysis of the Wim Hof Method—its strengths in building cold tolerance and its limitations for emotional depth work, trauma sensitivity, and nervous system balance. Explore why hyperventilation-based approaches create dissociation rather than presence, and why maintaining healthy CO₂ levels matters for genuine transformation. Learn the complete Chanshi 3-Part Method in detail: pre-plunge breathwork that regulates rather than activates, during-plunge techniques that maintain presence and allow emotional release, and post-plunge integration practices that anchor the experience into lasting change. Discover the specific breath patterns, meditative frameworks, and movement sequences that prepare the nervous system, support conscious immersion, and facilitate safe rewarming and integration. This module reveals why breath is the bridge between voluntary and involuntary systems.

CTFC Module 3 Lesson 2 Wim Hof breathing method strengths and limitations

CTFC Module 3 Lesson 3 The Chanshi 3 part method - Pre plunge, Mid plunge, Post plunge

MODULE 3: Breathwork Techniques & Methods - Mastering the Breath

Develop advanced facilitation skills that transform cold exposure from physical challenge into sacred practice. Learn additional preparation techniques beyond the core Chanshi method—understanding anticipatory fear, cognitive reframing, somatic grounding sequences, and physical warm-ups that prepare clients for optimal immersion. Master the art of intention-setting and ritual design, discovering how to frame cold water as teacher, mirror, and container for transformation. Receive complete scripts for the three core Chanshi meditations (Fear Release, Gratitude Cultivation, Somatic Integration) and learn when and how to use each. Finally, develop true facilitation mastery—embodying grounded presence, using voice tone and pacing to regulate nervous systems, breath cueing and co-regulation techniques, and holding space for the full emotional arc of the plunge (tears, laughter, tremors, stillness). Learn to recognize the difference between breakthrough and breakdown & when to intervene.

The Chanshi Cold Therapy Facilitator Certification (CCF) is a comprehensive 2-Week 1-1 mentorship training program designed to equip wellness professionals, coaches, and practitioners with the skills to guide safe, transformational cold water immersion experiences. Unlike performance-focused cold therapy methods, Chanshi integrates ancient wisdom with modern neuroscience, emphasizing psychological depth, emotional release, and trauma-informed facilitation. Over 2 weeks, you'll master the complete Chanshi 3-Part Method—pre-plunge nervous system preparation, conscious immersion guidance, and post-plunge integration - learning to hold space for profound transformation, not just physical endurance. The curriculum covers cold therapy science and physiology, comprehensive safety protocols and medical screening, breathwork techniques that regulate rather than activate, trauma-informed facilitation and consent-based coaching, intention-setting and ritual design, and advanced skills for reading emotional arcs and navigating complex client presentations. Through live mentorship sessions, practical demonstrations, self-practice immersions, and personalized feedback, you'll develop the presence, skill, and ethical grounding to facilitate cold therapy as a consciousness practice. This certification qualifies you to offer cold plunge sessions professionally, integrate cold therapy into existing wellness practices, or deepen your personal understanding of somatic transformation. Whether you're a yoga teacher, breathwork facilitator, therapist, coach, or seeker committed to inner work, this training provides the complete framework for facilitating cold exposure with integrity, safety, and sacred awareness. Join a growing community of Chanshi-certified facilitators who understand that cold water isn't just a challenge to endure—it's a threshold to cross consciously.
